Anne Of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables was turned into a ballet for the first time by the UK’s leading children’s ballet company, London Children’s Ballet. A spritely 11-year-old orphan, Anne Shirley, is adopted by mistake when an elderly brother and sister ask an orphanage to send them a boy to help on the farm. Instead, Anne arrives.

Her wild and wonderful imagination is matched only by her fierce temper, which gets her into hot water with everyone. But Anne’s courage, kindness and loyalty shine through, and the local village are eventually won over by her irrepressible spirit.

The charming classic by Canadian author LM Montgomery has been a family favourite since it was first published in 1908. It has been turned into a ballet for the first time by London Children’s Ballet, the UK’s leading children’s ballet company. London Children’s Ballet (LCB) productions are performed by a talented company of 50 young dancers, aged 9-16, and set to the music of a live orchestra.

Hugely popular among family audiences, LCB ballets are told in two 40-minute acts and are perfect for audiences aged 5-14. Packed with humour, drama and beautiful corps de ballet scenes, LCB ballets are made to appeal to boys, girls and adults alike.
