“Arcadia shows the burgeoning talent of yet another emerging female choreographer, Ruth Brill… She is certainly on the rise.”

Graham Watts, Critics’ Circle

“Brill is establishing a career as a choreographer. Peter and the Wolf shows a sharp eye for movement and storytelling.”

Zoë Anderson, The Independent

“Brill's Peter and the Wolf is a gem of a dance – it's funny and packed full of character and yet still ensures a great deal of technical skill from its cast.”

NEBT 2021 Season

We are delighted to announce New English Ballet Theatre’s 2021 season, which will include research & development and the creation of digital content in preparation for a full programme of new work touring nationally and internationally in 2022.

This includes an exciting new rock ballet, as well as fulfilling our 2020 commitments for a programme of works by female choreographers for the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre and a performance at Cheltenham Music Festival, both of which had to be postponed due to the pandemic.

We will be working with NEBT Guest and Associate Choreographers Wayne Eagling, Ruth Brill, Daniela Cardim, Kristen McNally and Valentino Zucchetti from 12 October to 29 November.

The creation period will conclude with filming four short dance films with film associate Alice Pennefather for screening on NEBT social media, and for entry into dance film festivals.
